  1. Begin with diagnostic practice. Complete a short, mixed set from the 19-question inventory without checking notes. Mark each answer as correct, uncertain, or guessed so your review distinguishes recall gaps from decision-making gaps.
  2. Use focused retrieval by medication family. For acid-control, antiemetic, bowel, and hepatic drugs, retrieve the purpose, administration cue, major safety concern, and priority assessment from memory before reopening the rationale.
  3. Build a comparison table you can reuse. Draw columns for medication or class, intended effect, key cue, nursing check, and patient teaching. Add rows such as magnesium-based antacid, aluminum-based antacid, H2 blocker, metoclopramide, lactulose, pancrelipase, and orlistat; write the decision rule in your own words.
  4. Review every error by cue and action. For each missed or guessed item, record the clinical cue you overlooked, the safest decision, and why the tempting option was weaker. Separate administration errors, interaction errors, adverse-effect errors, and prioritization errors.
  5. Retry with spacing, then mix the scope. Reanswer missed items after a delay, again several days later, and during the next review session.   • Confusing lactulose’s expected effect with uncontrolled toxicity. Judge the response together with patient tolerance.
